When millions of travelers arrive in the "Garden City," the first thing they touch is an IPave surface. Working alongside Hawkins Construction, we were tasked with creating an entrance that was both structurally indestructible and architecturally stunning.

The Challenge: Matching the vision of international architects while battling Canterbury's extreme weather-from October Nor'westers to July frosts.

The Solution: A bespoke exposed aggregate finish using a hand-selected mix of Waimakariri River stones. We spent months perfecting the "amplitude" of the stone reveal to ensure a perfectly consistent, slip-resistant finish across the entire terminal entrance.

The Result: A high-performance, low-maintenance surface that anchors the airport in the local landscape. It's a masterclass in decorative concrete meeting heavy-duty engineering.

Spanning 11.5 hectares, the Orua Paeroa campus was one of the most significant civic projects in the Christchurch rebuild. As part of a joint venture with Southbase and CPB, IPave delivered the "connective tissue" of this $100M+ facility.

The Scope: We provided the full spectrum of civil concrete works, including heavy-duty hardstands for technical blocks, precision-poured pathways, and intricate edge detailing.

Engineering Excellence: Beyond the surface, we managed complex drainage solutions and channel drains to ensure the campus remains functional and flood-free for the 2,400+ students who move across it daily.
